About Lisa Pietsch

Lisa Pietsch is a bestselling, award-winning author of romantic suspense and nonfiction. A U.S. Air Force veteran who served as a military police officer, she was trained by the FBI as a hostage negotiator and worked with MI-5 on select personal security details. She speaks French, Spanish, Russian, and Norwegian.

Those experiences shape the Task Force 125 series, five books of espionage, paramilitary action, and slow-burn romance. The series follows Sarah Stevens, a washed-up military cop recruited into the CIA’s Special Activities Division, and the found family of operators who become her team.

Lisa also writes nonfiction. Her guides Agave 101 and Agave Marketing 101 introduce readers to tequila, mezcal, and the wider world of agave spirits, and they are available in English, Spanish, French, and German. A social media marketing manager by trade, she also teaches authors and brands how to market themselves, and how to start a magazine of their own. For younger readers, she writes the Sparky’s Adventures children’s series.

Lisa has spent nineteen years in the publishing industry across traditional, hybrid, and independent paths. She is the founder of We Woodwards Publishing in Gladbrook, Iowa, where she publishes two monthly magazines, Enchanted Realms and Agave Today. She writes as Lisa Pietsch and publishes as Lisa Woodward.
